20 years of Maypole

We are looking for Child and Young Person Therapists!

We are looking for experienced, empathetic, and responsible therapists to work with our children and young people on a voluntary basis. The work would involve sessions with children with a complex medical need, or their sibling, on a 1:1 basis, through the integration of counselling with therapeutic creative and play skills.

Find out how you can help The Maypole Project

Without the commitment and professionalism of our volunteers, we would not be able to provide the full range of much needed services.  Whatever role you take on, whatever your skills or specialism, this is your chance to make a difference to the lives of children and families at The Maypole Project.

We help professionals too

We recognise that the work of professionals surrounding the child with complex medical needs and their family, or who work with people facing loss, can be emotionally demanding.

This can have both personal and professional effects. In response to this we have developed a support package specifically designed to meet professionals’ needs.
