Refer your family

Our support is flexible and tailored to fit each family’s needs.

The Maypole Project provides emotional well-being to families whose child or young person has a complex medical need. This includes parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters, grandparents and help with extended family members to support each other.

Families can receive support from the moment of their child or young person’s diagnosis (including antenatal period).

Please contact us to refer your family for support by emailing helpline@themaypoleproject.co.uk

How to refer your family

We ask that families please self refer by emailing our helpline.  Once we have received your referral our support team will arrange a time to meet with you (in person or remotely) to discuss your family’s needs and how we may be able to support you.

What to include in your email:

  • Who needs the support?
  • If the support is for a child, what is their age?
  • Which borough does your family live in?
  • What diagnosis have you received (if there has been one)?
  • What has led you to seeking support from us?
