Summer at The Maypole Project

There are plenty of fun ways to get friends, family and neighbours together this Summer whilst raising vital funds for children and young people with complex medical needs.

You could….

BBQ/Picnic: Bring families and friends together to enjoy the good weather and host a BBQ or picnic. Why not charge £1/£2 to support local children with complex medical needs?
Sports Tournament: Head down to your local tennis courts or have a kick around in the park to get out and fundraise for a great local charity. Make things interesting with a prize pot for the winner alongside half supporting our mission.
Camp Out: Pitch up in your garden and invite friends to play games, share stories and melt marshmallows over an open fire – ask them to donate for their experience and you’ve got a great fundraiser on your hands.
Game Out: Weather’s rubbish? Fret not as there is still plenty of fundraising that can be done. Gather friends for a gaming tournament or challenge yourself to a 12/24hour stream in fundraising to extend a lifeline of support to children with complex medical needs and their family.
Water Balloon Fight: A heatwave’s on its way and what better way to enjoy the weather than a water fight. It’s a great way to get outside, stay cool whilst also fundraising for a great cause if you charge people a pound or two to get involved.
Ice-Cream Party: All you need is ice-cream, cones and hot day to enjoy them in. This one’s such a summer-time favourite and something everyone can get involved in. Collect donations on the day to support the charity.

Join Team Maypole!

Taking part in a event that isn’t listed on our website? Whatever challenge you have chosen to take on, we would love for you to raise money for The Maypole Project. We love seeing our supporters tackling different challenges across the UK and sometimes even the world!

You will receive full support from the Fundraising Team and they will be on hand to help you with your fundraising and training. As a Maypole Project fundraiser you will receive:

  • A welcome pack and email full with fundraising ideas
  • Dedicated support
  • A bright Maypole Project t-shirt or running vest!
