Team Assistant

We’re looking for a passionate multi-tasker with a love for all things planning and organising.

This new role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, love for scheduling and strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Term:   35 hours – Full time, one year contract 

Responsible to: Head of Development

Location: TMP Head Office, 51 High Street, Green Street Green,  Orpington BR6 6BQ

Salary:   £20,000 to £23,000 PA (dependant on experience) 

Overall purpose 

This is an exciting new post which will aim to provide support as The Maypole Project develops as a charity and service provider to children with complex medical needs and their families. 

What you will do:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the team
  • Scheduling appointments both internal and external
  • Travel management, preparation of travel itineraries
  • Preparing equipment and materials for client meetings
  • Manage and support with ad hoc projects
  • Gatekeeping calls
  • Creation of content and presentations
  • Assisting with reports and evaluations
  • Collation of data
  • Attending fundraising and support events and activities when required
  • Ad hoc administrative duties, such as office stocks and supplies
  • Assisting on website, newsletter and social media management

Chief Executive Officer

Accountable to:        Chair of Trustees

Responsible for:       The organisation including staff and volunteers, specifically line      managing Senior Management Team 

Hours:                         30 – 35hours 

Purpose of Job:        The overall leadership of The Maypole Project 

We are seeking a new  Chief Executive Officer to lead us into our next exciting phase of growth and development; an opportunity not only to help shape the future of the charity, but in turn transforming the lives of hundreds of people across the UK. 

To fulfil our five-year strategic development plan, we are seeking key skills in our new CEO which will be increasing our ability to reach out to as many people in need of The Maypole Project expertise in psychological and social support by reaching into new geographical areas, creating new partnerships, new support networks. 

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and with the support of Head of Developments, the CEO will lead the management of the organisation, drive its strategic development and, together with the Board, secure the future success of the organisation.  

The post holder will promote The Maypole Project, its ambitions, values and objectives through every aspect of their work.
