A unique service for unique people.

Telephone helpline – 01689 889889

The diagnosis of a child with a chronic or life-threatening illness or disability totally changes the lives of families and can be devastating.

In order to help families through both the emotional and sometimes practical issues, The Maypole Project Helpline aims to provide a confidential service delivered by people who understand. It means support for families of children with complex medical needs is just a phonecall away.

Our helpline offers emotional support to parents and professionals by volunteers trained to listen, understand and support them through a difficult time. With one call, adults can access one-off or ongoing support by phone. Professional counselling and parent-to-parent support is also available.

There’s a wealth of information available too. One call connects parents of sick or disabled children to other professional services, grants and financial support. And if our telephone support volunteers cannot immediately find the answer to your question, we will always return your call.

Be part of something special this year and join us for a 5k or 10k run.

Following last year’s huge success, we’re pleased to announce we have places in the Superhero 5k Fun Run in Regent’s Park on Sunday 13th May. The run is open to heroes from age 8 upwards, making it a great family run. Better still, superhero costumes are provided!!

We also have places in the popular British Asics 10k Run on Sunday 8th July. The traffic-free route takes runners along Whitehall and the banks of the Thames. It’s a great opportunity to see London’s scenic streets like you’ve never seen them before.

For more information about these runs or any of our other challenges, please email us at info@themaypoleproject.co.uk or call the Active Challenges team on 01689 85 15 96.
