Groups can help families, as they meet others and help each other. They also help alleviate the feelings of isolation which are often experienced when there is a child or children with complex medical needs in the family.
At The Maypole Project, groups are set up as and when the need is highlighted. They can be for ill children, siblings, parents or grandparents.
Groups are facilitated by a trained member of staff and/or designed as mutual help groups i.e. lead by other parents/carers.
