Groups can help families, as they meet others and help each other. They also help alleviate the feelings of isolation which are often experienced when there is a child or children with complex medical needs in the family.
At The Maypole Project, groups are set up as and when the need is highlighted. They can be for ill children, siblings, parents or grandparents.
Groups are facilitated by a trained member of staff and/or designed as mutual help groups i.e. lead by other parents/carers.
We are happy to welcome you to our drop in group ‘Get-Together @51’ providing an opportunity for Maypole families to meet socially over a coffee and cake. There will also be a play area and a craft table so children are more than welcome!
Our next ‘Get-Together@51’ is on Friday 31st March 10am – 12pm
