Debriefing for professionals

A critical incident in any setting, including the death of a child, can be very traumatic for the teams involved. As with any traumatic incident, we feel our relationships are strong enough to all pull together. However, the reality can often be quite different. It can therefore be beneficial at these times for the whole team to get together for a period of reflection on the events.

These debriefs are offered as soon as possible after the event, and a further meeting arranged about four to six weeks later.
